The Mountain Holds Me

As I step on your amazing back

my feet tickle your pebbles and I gently

weave through your terrain

Your permission holds me

and I must honor your contract

Much like the cows and the shepherd

I promise you my life for your joy and being

I offer you gratitude and my infinite sadness

I promise to come back to you one day

You transform my gifts and pains into yourself

you absorb me and promise to be there

when I return, your future full of flowers
