Francesca Maestas

Francesca Maestas is a Tewa, Navajo, and Cherokee artist enrolled in Pojoaque Pueblo. She earned her BFA at the Institute of American Indian Arts, and is currently pursuing an MFA at CalArts. Specializing in 3 dimensional art, Frencesca works across various materials including clay. By combining earth-based materials, she highlights the duality of fragility and resilience, while exploring the powerful connection between women and water.
