Find a hill.
Midway up the hill, attach a camera to a tripod.
Set the camera to automatically take a photograph at regular intervals.
Leave the camera behind and hike to the top of the hill.
Enjoy the view until you are certain the camera is dead.
Tristan Lajarrige is a visual artist from Montréal, Canada, currently based in Los Angeles. Merging image-making and performance, his work examines the influence of photography on experience, memory, and agency. He holds a Master of Fine Arts from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts at Tufts University (2023) in Boston and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography from Concordia University (2021) in Montréal.
